okay this is all from http://www.wilsonsalmanac.com/jesus_similar.html  I'll put my comments in blue, blue for Krishna hahaha

His advent was heralded by a pious old man (Asita), who could die happy knowing of his arrival, a story paralleled in the Bible by that of Simeon (Luke 2: 25).
Krishna was born in a cave, which at the time of his birth was miraculously illuminated.

He was "born" in the dungeon of King Kamsa the uncle of Devaki after he was informed by a prophetic voice that the 8th child of Devaki would kill him. He then went about rounding up all the children of Vraj and killing them, much like the incident of Herod in the Bible.

Devaki, the radiant Virgin of the Hindu mythology, bore Krishna to the god Vishnu (second god of the Trimurthi (also called the Hindu Trinity).

What?????

The Vishnu the writer is mentioning here is an expansion of Krishna (krsnastu bhagavan swayam - Krishna is the original avatari from where all avataras come from) iswara parama Krishna sac cit ananda vigraha. This is a Hindu misunderstanding of Krishna being the incarnation of Trimurthy of Vishnu. The example of scorpions being born from rice is somethimes given to show how Krishna's status is something different from that of this world just as the mother scorpion laid her eggs in the bag of rice and then foolish humans see the bag of rice as giving birth to the baby scorpions.

"The divine Vishnu himself descended into the womb of Devaki and was born as her son Krishna." Boslooper, Thomas, The Virgin Birth, SCM Press, 1962, Pp 148 & 149; cited in: The Virgin Birth of Christ.
......a Christian writing about the advent of Krishna????? not to be taken as authoritative by any means, they werte out to destroy the Vedic culture and by conversion still are.

"Our English schools are flourishing wonderfully; we find it difficult to provide instruction to all. The effect of this education on Hindus is prodigious. No Hindu who has received an English education ever remains sincerely attached to his religion. It is my firm belief that if our plans of education are followed up, there will not be a single idolater among the respected classes 30 years hence. And this will be effected without our efforts to proselytize; I heartily rejoice in the prospect"

Lord Macaulay

- from a letter to his father dated Oct. 12th, 1836

Of royal descent, Krishna was born while his carpenter "while his foster-father Nanda was in the city to pay his tax to the king" (Pagan origins of the Christ myth: Pagan Christs: Krishna).

rubbish - please read Krsna book for the real and accepted story

Nanda maharaj was a local king, his palace still there in Nandagram can be visited

The story about the birth of Elizabeth's son John (the Baptist), cousin of Jesus, corresponds with the story in the Krishna myth about the birth of the child of Nanda and his wife Yasoda. (Source: The Virgin Birth Doctrine: Details of the two Gospel stories, 1922)

says who????

His birth was heralded by a star.

er no !!!!

The cowherds adored his birth. Celestial beings sang hymns at the birth. The baby Krishna began speaking to his mother shortly after birth.
Devaki was told by an angel, "In thy delivery, O favoured among women, all nations shall have cause to rejoice".
Angels issued a warning that the local dictator, King Kansa, planned to kill the baby and had issued a decree for his assassination. Krishna's parents fled and stayed in Mathura.

Krishna's parents Vasudev and Devaki were imprisioned by Kamsa

Vasudev underwent a journey after mystically getting out of jail and took Krishna to Nandagram to be with Nanda baba and Yashoda who also gave birth to a girl child at the same time. The children were swapped over and it was this child after the return to the cell that flew into the sky and cursing Kamsa stated to him that Krishna had already appeared and would kill him shortly. It was then that Kamso too to the campaign of killing all the children.

They didn't flee to Mathura they were living in Mathura, Nanda maharaj's place is at Gokul on the other side of the Yamuna river which is where they took Krishna to.

King Kansa ordered the massacre of all male children born during the same night.

correct :-) :-(

Krishna's birth was attended by angels and shepherds.
The infant Krishna also was presented with gold, frankincense and myrrh by wise men.

geeezes that sounds familiar hahaha

yes there was a whole festival secretly performed at Nanda's place..........all nicely depicted in Krsna book.

Extract from the Vedangas:

"It is in the bosom of a woman that the ray of the divine Splendor will receive human form, and she shall bring forth, being a virgin, for no impure contact shall have defiled her."

Devaki and Vasudev were imrpisioned together on their wedding night by Kamsa. We are not so hung up about the notion that Vasudev and Devaki had sex in the cell and that maybe that's how they had eight children one after the other over the years of being imprisioned there.  Christians shouldn't put their ideas on these stories sacred to others they contaminate everything with their ideas and ideals.

Extract from the Pourourava:

"The lamb is born of an ewe and a ram, the kid of a goat and a buck goat, the child of a woman and a man; but the divine Paramatma (soul of the universe) shall be born of a virgin, who shall be fecundated by the thought of Vischnou."…

yeah I guess Devaki was a virgin at one stage, at least for her husband !!!!

Extract of Vedanta:

"In the early part of the Cali-Youga (the actual age of the world, which, according to the Hindoos, began three thousand years before the Christian era) shall be born the son of the Virgin."…

The Vedanta announces the incarnation of Christna [Krishna] should occur in the early times of the Cali-Youga, that is, of the actual age of the world.   Source

Hhmmmmmmmmmm  we write as Kali yuga, the rest I really dunno what is being said here?????

I think that maybe the next bit came across with the copy and pasting:

Sources differ: Some say Zarathustra was born to a 15-year-old virgin, Dughdhava the milk maid, in a cave. He received his prophetic calling at about 30 years of age.

Life

Krishna's mission was to give directions to 'the kingdom of God' (Bhagavad Gita  2: 72).

Bhagavad Gita 2:72 says:

eñä brähmé sthitiù pärtha
nainäà präpya vimuhyati
sthitväsyäm anta-käle 'pi
brahma-nirväëam åcchati

SYNONYMS
eñä—this; brähmé—spiritual; sthitiù—situation; pärtha—O son of Påthä; na—never; enäm—this; präpya—achieving; vimuhyati—one is bewildered; sthitvä—being situated; asyäm—in this; anta-käle—at the end of life; api—also; brahma-nirväëam—the spiritual kingdom of God; åcchati—one attains.
TRANSLATION
That is the way of the spiritual and godly life, after attaining which a man is not bewildered. If one is thus situated even at the hour of death, one can enter into the kingdom of God.

Krishna travelled widely, performing miracles – raising the dead, healing lepers, the deaf and the blind. He cast out indwelling demons. One of the first miracles he performed was to make a leper whole. He lived in poverty and loved the poor.
Krishna warned of 'stumbling blocks' along the way (BG 3: 34).

er slightly out of context, but something is there:

indriyasyendriyasyärthe
räga-dveñau vyavasthitau
tayor na vaçam ägacchet
tau hy asya paripanthinau

SYNONYMS
indriyasya—of the senses; indriyasya arthe—in the sense objects; räga—attachment; dveñau—also detachment; vyavasthitau—put under regulations; tayoù—of them; na—never; vaçam—control; ägacchet—one should come; tau—those; hi—certainly; asya—his; paripanthinau—stumbling blocks.
TRANSLATION
There are principles to regulate attachment and aversion pertaining to the senses and their objects. One should not come under the control of such attachment and aversion, because they are stumbling blocks on the path of self-realization.

He was baptised in the Ganges River. Krishna performed miracles in Mathura.

Baptised????

hahaha 3000 years before baptism was in vogue

Krishna used parables to teach the people about charity and love.

really I never heard that before

Krishna withdrew to the wilderness to fast.

er I think that may have been Buddha not Krishna. Krishna left Vrindavan where he grew up and went to be King of Dwarka surrounded by palaces and servants and His 16108 wives........

Eyewitnesses claimed Krishna was transfigured in front of his disciples; hence his disciples bestowed upon him the title jezeus, meaning "pure essence".

sorry what was that????

He proclaimed he was the "Way to the Father".

Hmmmmmmmmm He was/is the Father !!!

Krishna was anointed on the head with oil by a woman whom he healed.

wasn't that Jesus??? it certainly wasn't Krishna, although He did cure many people like the washer women Kubja

He selected disciples to spread his teachings. He was meek, and merciful. He was criticized for associating with sinners. He humbled himself by washing the feet of others. He encountered a woman at a well.
His path was “strewn with branches".
He was depicted on a cross with nail-holes in his feet, as well as having a heart emblem on his clothing. He may also be depicted as having his foot on the head of a serpent.
He forgave his enemies. He celebrated a last supper. He descended into Hell, and was resurrected. Many people witnessed his ascension into heaven.

Hello I think the writer's true colours are coming through too much at this point........hahaha

Krishna said that "by human calculation, a thousand ages taken together is the duration of Brahma's one day" (BG 8: 17); cf 2 Peter 3: 8.

sahasra-yuga-paryantam
ahar yad brahmaëo viduù
rätrià yuga-sahasräntäà
te 'ho-rätra-vido janäù

SYNONYMS
sahasra—one thousand; yuga—millenniums; paryantam—including; ahaù—day; yat—that which; brahmaëaù—of Brahmä; viduù—they know; rätrim—night; yuga—millenniums; sahasra-antäm—similarly, ending after one thousand; te—they; ahaù-rätra—day and night; vidaù—who understand; janäù—people.
TRANSLATION
By human calculation, a thousand ages taken together form the duration of Brahmä's one day. And such also is the duration of his night.

Is the writer trying to support his/her own views in the Bible "But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day [is] with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day."

Names

Krishna's names: Shepherd God; Sin Bearer; Liberator; Firstborn; Universal Word; Beginning and the End (Alpha and Omega) ("I am the beginning, the middle, and the end" (Bhagavad Gita 10: 20;

what???????

Krishna is the second person of the Hindu Trinity: (1) Brahma, (2) Vishnu, (3) Siva.

er no that is Vishnu

Krishna is the incarnation of Vishnu.

not according to most of us, but I can see where the mistake can be made.

Death

At about age 30, Krishna was "suspended to the branches of a tree by his murderer, that it might become the prey of the vultures ... [Later] the mortal frame of the Redeemer had disappeared – no doubt it had regained the celestial abodes ..."

This I find VERY offensive, and 100% false or mistaken, where did they get that from????

Jacolliot, Louis, The Bible in India, Sun Publ. Co., 1992; cited in Specific Similarities in the Lives of Jesus and Krishna

ahh now I see where from Christian propaganda

The crucified (this is open to dispute; read more) Krishna is pictured on the cross with arms extended.

well they certainly know how to draw similarities even if it is totally false.

Pierced by an arrow while hanging on the cross, Krishna died, but descended into Hell from which he rose again on the third day and ascended into Heaven. (The Gospel of Nicodemus tell of Jesus' descent into Hell.) However, the Mahabharata refers only to Krishna's death by being shot by an arrow in the heel – suffering the same fate as the Greek god Achilles.   Source

According to Srimad Bhagavatam, Mahabharata and all other Vedic commentaries, the hunter Jara shot an arrow, and taking this as an opportune time to wind up His pastimes as all of His work was completed He ascended to His own spiritual abode and left a mortal body to bewilder the atheists.

The staunch Brahma-madhwa sect of Vaishnavas of which we are part state that the arrow did not pierce the body of Krishna, but it landed nearby. The hunter Jara was actually Brighumuni reincarnate, and there were some interesting pastimes of a similar nature that took place previously also.

There's one very famour Christian anti-vedic author (western indologist) called Max Muller, who was funded by the Christian churches to corrupt the teachings of the ancient Indian scriptures. I have one page in which there is an exceprt of a letter from him to his wife as he gloted how by his last translation of ..........it will bring the vedic culture to its knees

www.hknet.org.nz/WesternIndologists-page.htm

We don't hate them but we recognise the desperation in their urgency to destroy all other cultures to try to establish Christiantity as supreme.

The skies and earth turned dark at noon on Krishna's death.
He brought back two boys from Hell.

Beliefs

Krishna is the second person of the Hindu trinity.
He is said to return to 'do battle' with the 'Prince of Evil' who will 'desolate the earth'.

really

Krishna was 'without sin'. Considered both human and divine; omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent.
Hindu and Catholic priesthoods have much in common, according to Australian author Peter Bowler in True Believers.
Both have nunneries and monasteries; both believe celibacy is a virtue; both impose penances; both offer indulgences; and both use beads.

but we don't change other's scriptures to champion our cause

Krishna will return on the last day on a white horse to judge the living and the dead.

a total misunderstanding of the Kalki avatar who in fact will apear to kill all impious persons, which will be the mass of the population of the Earth at that time, and then He will re-organise things for the advent of a new pious age  whereby good prevails. A little different eh

Krishna claimed: "I am the Resurrection".

where????? in what scripture???? in what context????

He referred to himself as having existed before his birth on earth.

yes finally they are getting it, and that original Krishna is Who we are talking of

éçvaraù paramaù kåñëaù

TRANSLATION
Kåñëa who is known as Govinda is the Supreme Godhead. He has an eternal blissful spiritual body. He is the origin of all. He has no other origin and He is the prime cause of all causes. (Brahma samhita 5.1)

Srimad Bhagavatam 1:3:28 clearly states: (and I'm just including it here to stress my point)

ete cäàça-kaläù puàsaù
kåñëas tu bhagavän svayam
indräri-vyäkulaà lokaà
måòayanti yuge yuge

SYNONYMS
ete—all these; ca—and; aàça—plenary portions; kaläù—portions of the plenary portions; puàsaù—of the Supreme; kåñëaù—Lord Kåñëa; tu—but; bhagavän—the Personality of Godhead; svayam—in person; indra-ari—the enemies of Indra; vyäkulam—disturbed; lokam—all the planets; måòayanti—gives protection; yuge yuge—in different ages.
TRANSLATION
All of the above-mentioned incarnations are either plenary portions or portions of the plenary portions of the Lord, but Lord Çré Kåñëa is the original Personality of Godhead. All of them appear on planets whenever there is a disturbance created by the atheists. The Lord incarnates to protect the theists.

PURPORT to the above verse by His Divine Grace Srila A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupad:

In this particular stanza Lord Çré Kåñëa, the Personality of Godhead, is distinguished from other incarnations. He is counted amongst the avatäras (incarnations) because out of His causeless mercy the Lord descends from His transcendental abode. Avatära means "one who descends." All the incarnations of the Lord, including the Lord Himself, descend on the different planets of the material world as also in different species of life to fulfill particular missions. Sometimes He comes Himself, and sometimes His different plenary portions or parts of the plenary portions, or His differentiated portions directly or indirectly empowered by Him, descend on this material world to execute certain specific functions. Originally the Lord is full of all opulences, all prowess, all fame, all beauty, all knowledge and all renunciation. When they are partly manifested through the plenary portions or parts of the plenary portions, it should be noted that certain manifestations of His different powers are required for those particular functions. When in the room small electric bulbs are displayed, it does not mean that the electric powerhouse is limited by the small bulbs. The same powerhouse can supply power to operate large-scale industrial dynamos with greater volts. Similarly, the incarnations of the Lord display limited powers because so much power is needed at that particular time.
For example, Lord Paraçuräma and Lord Nåsiàha displayed unusual opulence by killing the disobedient kñatriyas twenty-one times and killing the greatly powerful atheist Hiraëyakaçipu. Hiraëyakaçipu was so powerful that even the demigods in other planets would tremble simply by the unfavorable raising of his eyebrow. The demigods in the higher level of material existence many, many times excel the most well-to-do human beings, in duration of life, beauty, wealth, paraphernalia, and in all other respects. Still they were afraid of Hiraëyakaçipu. Thus we can simply imagine how powerful Hiraëyakaçipu was in this material world. But even Hiraëyakaçipu was cut into small pieces by the nails of Lord Nåsiàha. This means that anyone materially powerful cannot stand the strength of the Lord's nails. Similarly, Jämadagnya displayed the Lord's power to kill all the disobedient kings powerfully situated in their respective states. The Lord's empowered incarnation Närada and plenary incarnation Varäha, as well as indirectly empowered Lord Buddha, created faith in the mass of people. The incarnations of Räma and Dhanvantari displayed His fame, and Balaräma, Mohiné and Vämana exhibited His beauty. Dattätreya, Matsya, Kumära and Kapila exhibited His transcendental knowledge. Nara and Näräyaëa Åñis exhibited His renunciation. So all the different incarnations of the Lord indirectly or directly manifested different features, but Lord Kåñëa, the primeval Lord, exhibited the complete features of Godhead, and thus it is confirmed that He is the source of all other incarnations. And the most extraordinary feature exhibited by Lord Çré Kåñëa was His internal energetic manifestation of His pastimes with the cowherd girls. His pastimes with the gopés are all displays of transcendental existence, bliss and knowledge, although these are manifested apparently as sex love. The specific attraction of His pastimes with the gopés should never be misunderstood. The Bhägavatam relates these transcendental pastimes in the Tenth Canto. And in order to reach the position to understand the transcendental nature of Lord Kåñëa's pastimes with the gopés, the Bhägavatam promotes the student gradually in nine other cantos.
According to Çréla Jéva Gosvämé's statement, in accordance with authoritative sources, Lord Kåñëa is the source of all other incarnations. It is not that Lord Kåñëa has any source of incarnation. All the symptoms of the Supreme Truth in full are present in the person of Lord Çré Kåñëa, and in the Bhagavad-gétä the Lord emphatically declares that there is no truth greater than or equal to Himself. In this stanza the word svayam is particularly mentioned to confirm that Lord Kåñëa has no other source than Himself. Although in other places the incarnations are described as bhagavän because of their specific functions, nowhere are they declared to be the Supreme Personality. In this stanza the word svayam signifies the supremacy as the summum bonum.
The summum bonum Kåñëa is one without a second. He Himself has expanded Himself in various parts, portions and particles as svayaà-rüpa, svayam-prakäça, tad-ekätmä, präbhava, vaibhava, viläsa, avatära, äveça, and jévas, all provided with innumerable energies just suitable to the respective persons and personalities. Learned scholars in transcendental subjects have carefully analyzed the summum bonum Kåñëa to have sixty-four principal attributes. All the expansions or categories of the Lord possess only some percentages of these attributes. But Çré Kåñëa is the possessor of the attributes cent percent. And His personal expansions such as svayam-prakäça, tad-ekätmä up to the categories of the avatäras who are all viñëu-tattva, possess up to ninety-three percent of these transcendental attributes. Lord Çiva, who is neither avatära nor äveça nor in between them, possesses almost eighty-four percent of the attributes. But the jévas, or the individual living beings in different statuses of life, possess up to the limit of seventy-eight percent of the attributes. In the conditioned state of material existence, the living being possesses these attributes in very minute quantity, varying in terms of the pious life of the living being. The most perfect of living beings is Brahmä, the supreme administrator of one universe. He possesses seventy-eight percent of the attributes in full. All other demigods have the same attributes in less quantity, whereas human beings possess the attributes in very minute quantity. The standard of perfection for a human being is to develop the attributes up to seventy-eight percent in full. The living being can never possess attributes like Çiva, Viñëu or Lord Kåñëa. A living being can become godly by developing the seventy-eight-percent transcendental attributes in fullness, but he can never become a God like Çiva, Viñëu or Kåñëa. He can become a Brahmä in due course. The godly living beings who are all residents of the planets in the spiritual sky are eternal associates of God in different spiritual planets called Hari-dhäma and Maheça-dhäma. The abode of Lord Kåñëa above all spiritual planets is called Kåñëaloka or Goloka Våndävana, and the perfected living being, by developing seventy-eight percent of the above attributes in fullness, can enter the planet of Kåñëaloka after leaving the present material body.
