Day of the week finder
I'm on a mish.
That's younger people's
slang in Oz
for 'on a mission', and I use it myself a lot. First, I'd like to
say, I suggest
support your local paid directory. Those people have to eat too, but
I'm on a Permanent Disability Pension. List in both, why not?
Condition, not payment
The bonus is free, after all, One condition applies. If you tell three people or businesses (especially if they have a website and promise to reciprocate a link) about any page at all on Wilson's Almanac, you're in - for free. Preferably the Wilson's Almanac Free International Directory (good if you use that name with people who have websites and can link, of course.) I hate those expensive online directories, and I love promo of the Almy. But all this ain't a condition, and your choice is fine by me. You don't have to prove anything, just give me some details about what you've done. Let's bring some honesty, kindness, trust, etc - old-fashioned virtues - back to the real world. It will confuse people, but they'll get over it, watch TV or something, and in ten years or so they might wake up to much about the human condition. It's perilous. Bring a bit of peace and truth into the place. Spread the word. If you read about my assault at this site, I trust you'll understand why I'm on a mish. And I'm not getting any younger. That's my only condition, and as far as I can tell, it always will be. It'll be great for the Almy, and I hope good for your business and you, in quick time. And with a bit of luck, maybe good for the planet. Fair deal? So feel free to ask. I intend it to be quite a few pages long and grouped by theme and/or category. My intention is only limited by your compliance with the condition.
I mean no competition with any directory anywhere in the world, whether they charge $1 or $1,000 a year. This one is $45 per annum, and I think it looks great, not another of those ones full of banner ads, or just columns of site links. Uggo! If I had $45 to spare, I'd be in it. I believe it's all a matter of human choice. I like free stuff - always have, always will. What other people like is their own business, and I wish them well.
This is a free directory. Totally. All you just have to do is to convince me by email that you have told three other people or businesses that you think Wilson's Almanac, or any part of it, is worthwhile and should be linked, in another website, directory, or whatever. Any website. Lie if you like. I'll trust you. (Millions wouldn't!)
I'm well past 50. They say 50 is the death of youth and the dawn of old age. Anything might happen - a tree might fall on me - but I intend to be alive at 100, still almanacking. My mother's brother is 93 and was one of my few visitors at Sydney's pathetic, misnamed, Royal Rehabilitation Centre, at Ryde. And I tend to be honest. If your link is here, it might be for decades. I only cull rubbish. Send your stuff.
I was talking with a friend
the other day about the amazing growth of Google Earth, far better
than
Google Maps.
It's only a few years old.
But in five years, with its stunning
growth of land-based and satellite photos and film, it might have
real-time film of real-time things. For example, flocks of
kangaroos.
Maybe blokes being shot by Gaddafi's henchmen might have
their lives saved if they have a mobile phone. Maybe your shop, your
biz, your friends will be onscreen live.
And, before the dawn of this new age gets later, kindly turn off the TV, let your love grow.

Yup. This big, too.
All you gotta do is ask. Whatever you want, I think I
can do. Let's try. Don't get ripped off. |
